Mills River Brewing Co. was founded in 2015 by Joey Soukup and PJ McCarthy with the mission of bringing great craft beer to their hometown of Mills River, NC. While the craft beer industry had already begun to thrive in Asheville there wasn’t much in the surrounding areas for the craft beer enthusiast, and thus MRB Co was formed.The brewery started in a small strip mall location in Arden, NC where Joey brewed and PJ saw to the taproom and distribution. After a few years the Brewery was ready for expansion and found a beautiful piece of land in the town the company was named after and construction commenced on a new 8,600 sq ft brewing facility and taproom. Our fine brews are now being served at our new brewhouse and taproom.
